Managing Your Diet To Prevent Rosacea
Rosacea is a very serious conditions that mostly affects Caucasian as well as individuals which are fair-skinned. Rosacea is mainly associated with the reddening of the face especially in the center where the nose, cheeks, chin, and forehead are. It is 3 times more likely in females but it's more severe in men. Rosacea generally happens to individuals between the age of 30 and 50 and people think that people who've them just have a serious case of acne or sunburn. Some of the other signs and symptoms include burning sensation, stingy feeling of the face and skin, and severe reddening simply because of enlarged blood vessels.
Rosacea is still 1 of the numerous conditions today with no known cause. However, several researchers have observed that some factors such may trigger episodes of flushing that can lead to the introduction of the condition. One of this factor is diet. There are people who have reported that eating a certain kind of food can lead to flushing, and stinging sensation which can then develop into rosacea.
One kind of diet that could trigger flushing is eating foods that contain or set off the release of histamine. Histamine can push vasolidation within the body that may improve the effects of rosacea. Some of the foods that contain histamine or release it are alcohol, cheese, fish, milk, tomatoes, spinach, dried fruits, chocolate, and so on.
Another type of diet that may trigger rosacea flares is eating meals that are higher in Niacin. Niacin, also known as vitamin B3 can increase the dilation of blood vessels which in turn leads to flushing. Examples of food rich in tryptophan which the body converts to Niacin are seaweeds, eggs, soy, spinach, crab, lobster, crayfish, shrimp, salmon, and tofu.
Some people who have rosacea reported varying degrees of sensitivity to meals containing salicylates, observing that those meals seem to worsen their signs and symptoms. Food that have high salicylates content include champagne, wines, tea, honey, ginger, pepper, mint, almonds, peanuts, pineapples, raisins, chili, green peppers, radish, and many more.
Diets that are high in carbohydrates and sugars naturally causes the body to produce more insulin. Insulin secretion produces Phospholipase A2 which induces the pro-inflammatory Arachidonic Acid products, which in turn aggravates the symptoms of rosacea. Foods rich in barbs also include pastam potatoes, cereals and any fiber diet.
